At the beginning of the story Claudia wanted to run away from home with a family member so she picked Jamie to run away from home because she thought that Jamie had a lot of money. Claudia and Jamie ran away to the Metropolitan Museum of
Arts. They stayed their overnight and at night they snuck in.They realized that they were living with a statue of an angel. In the middle of the story they tried to figure out if Michelangelo carved the angel. On a Sunday morning they went to the chapel and on the way back they stopped by the angel but their was a guard coming so they hid behind the angel and noticed that their was a M on the back of the angel. They wrote a letter to the Museum saying they noticed that there was a M on the back of the statue and the museum wrote back saying they already have people investigating that. In the end of the book they were going to go home but they went to Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler's house to figure out if Michelangelo carved the angel. Mrs. Frankweiler did not tell them her secret and they drove back to there house. That is what the book is about.
2. How do you feel about your book? Remember to include details from your story to support your opinion.
I feel like I liked this book because it kept me guessing. An example of that would be like I thought that they were going to get caught by the guards but they weren't.
3. Make a prediction what you think will happen next in your story. Remember to support your answer with examples from the text. (Bud Not Buddy, Witch of Blackbird Pond, Westing Game).
4. How did your story end? Did you like your ending? Tell why or why not. If you didn't like it, how would you change it? (Mixed Up Files and Bridge to Terabithia).
I liked the ending because it kept me guessing. I didn't like the ending because it makes me want to read more.
